Watch a Rare and Personal Interview with Burt Reynolds [VIDEO]

I grew up on Burt Reynolds movies. I saw Smokey and the Bandit in theaters when it came out in 1977. Reynolds, to me, was one of the last true icons of the golden age of film. When he passed away, it felt as if another cornerstone of classic Hollywood had been removed.

Christian movie producer and actor David A.R. White (Pure Flix) got his start in the movie industry through a role Burt Reynolds expanded upon after White appeared on an episode of his sitcom Evening Shade as an extra.

“So sad to hear of the passing of the legend and the man who gave me my start in Hollywood. I always appreciated his kindness to me, so glad I had the gift to see and work with him one last time as he played my father on Hitting the Breaks. It was like my career came full circle. God Bless your loved ones,” White shared on Instagram.

Check out a rare video interview White had the opportunity to conduct with Burt Reynolds when he was out in the Hollywood area recording voiceovers for new television series Hitting the Breaks.
