Home Entertainment Review: "Ant-Man and the Wasp"

Filled with good chemistry and lots of fun action and humor, "Ant-Man and the Wasp" still falls short of capturing the magic of the first film. The main problems with the film are its messy structure and disjointedness and rather weak villains. While Ghost has some pretty cool superpowers and is a sympathetic character, both her and Walter Goggins' arms dealer just don't quite have the same impact as Thanos, Hela, or any other Marvel nemesis. Michael Pena's humorous and charming character and some great special effects definitely help make this a worthy watch in the end, though.

In "Ant-Man and the Wasp," Scott Lang is grappling with the consequences of his choices as both a superhero and a father. Approached by Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym, Lang must once again don the Ant-Man suit and fight alongside the Wasp. The urgent mission soon leads to secret revelations from the past as the dynamic duo finds itself in an epic battle against a powerful new enemy.

Special features for the Blu-ray version of "Ant-Man and the Wasp" take viewers behind the scenes of the film. They include deletes scenes a gag reel. There are also a few featurettes like "Back in the Suit: Scott Lang," "A Suit of Her Own: The Wasp," "Subatomic Superheroes: Hank & Janet," and "Quantum Perspective." We also get audio commentary for the movie from Director Peyton Reed.

"Ant-Man and the Wasp" is rated PG-13 for some sci - fi action violence. It also contains some profanity and frightening and intense scenes.
