In THE PRODIGY, when a boy starts hearing evil voices in his head and doing violent things, his mother is forced to choose between brushing aside his silly remarks or taking matters into her own hands to find out who or what is causing his evil behaviors. THE PRODIGY’s heightened suspense moves the story along well, but the movie’s overall tone is horrific and disturbing, with extreme gory violence, excessive foul language, an occult worldview with references to reincarnation, and a depressing ending where demonic evil is victorious.
